The Craziness of Life

Hello everyone!

Long time and no talk. I am so sorry. This post will explain.

Life is crazy. You think you have everything figured out and under control until someone throws a curve ball your way. These past few days have been no exception to this.

Back on July 27th I turned eighteen. Woohoo! Since I turned eighteen, my work transferred me over to a new department that was in some need of assistance. I spent all last week training. This has been a really exciting experience for me. I am now getting more hours at work. I also have been babysitting on the side a bit more.

Justin and I are going great. Both of our lives are crazy with work, so we have to squeeze in as much free time as we possibly can. Things are only going to get busier once we start school, but we both understand that and are expecting that.

With school starting in two weeks the craziness is just about to get worse. I still need to go down to my school so that I can pick up my textbooks and get my school id printed out.

Between school, work and free time my life has been chaos. I am going to leave this post short and sweet today, just serving as a quick update.

So the question of this post is going to be, how did you deal with a time in your life of just pure craziness?

Until next time,
Jamie

New Beginnings

Hello

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. For me this weekend awakened something new within me that I am so happy about.

As you know, this is not only a place to talk about the college journey and chasing after dreams, but within these precious years, there will also be coming of age situations. This weekend I entered into a long forgotten world and began a new journey; the journey of dating.

I figured that I would take you along on this journey and maybe do a weekly post about my life update as rather school and career.

This journey began about two weeks ago when Justin came into my work and we began to talk. I had previously know Justin, from school and clubs. We had always been able to hold a good conversation with him, I remember going to a competition back in March in which he also attended. He sat next to me at lunch and we had talk for a good hour so smoothly.

When I got home from work that night, I already had a friend request from Justin on Facebook. I accepted it and early the next morning her was messaging me. We ended up talking for a good week, including late night phone calls that lasted for hours before we went on on our first date Saturday. I knew things were going to work out between us because when the date didn't flow as plan, he remained calm and enjoyed the ride. Sunday after we both got off, we ended up going out to dinner. On Monday Justin come over to my house; we ate, watched TV and talked.

It may seem like things are moving fast, but we have a strong connection and we have the availability to talk with no breaks for hours and still be entertained. I know this is hard to come by so I knew we were heading in the right direction.

So my question for you this time is going to be, share an experience when things seemed to be moving so fast, yet felt so right. I would love to see comments about new beginnings, responses to the question or just feedback. I would love to thank everyone for the love and support I have received thus far.

Have fun and until next time,
Jamie

Opportunities

Hello Again,

I would like to begin this blog by saying that blogging just once a week is going to be a challenge for me. I have so much to say and frankly I love to write, so I have decided to blog more frequently. I hope this is a good surprise to all. My goal is to have a minimum of three post a week. I am also hoping to see some comments so that I am able to have a followers response in the beginning of each blog. In order to help get the ball rolling, I am going to have a theme/ question in each blog. The theme is new opportunities and my question is what would you like to know from me. This is not only a new blog for you to follow, but this also my first time blogging. I have definitely started a new chapter of my life by starting this blog and starting college in exactly a month from today.

I have found the opportunities available to us in life are endless. I would like to take a moment to remind everyone that you are never too older or young to grow yourself in order to have opportunities find you later on down the road. It is know though that you need to make yourself valuable in order for these opportunities to find you. Sitting and waiting will get you no where. This week has been a huge example to me on how the image you put out reflects the opportunities that are thrown your way. All throughout high school, I took my academics very seriously. Due to this, I graduated in the upper part of my class. This has allowed my to go to a school that is waiving my tuition fees.

Opportunity has also knocked on the door at the place where I work. The company that I work is a partner of DECA. Since I was in DECA while I was in high school and working with their company sponsor, I qualified for a scholarship. The district manager took out all of the scholarship recipients within out district to lunch last week. At this lunch, we were informed of the opportunities with the company and were all given the opportunity to job shadow some how which does something similar to the job that we are seeking.

I have been grateful for the scholarships that I have received thus far. I am not trying to brag about them, I am just trying to be honest and tell you my journey through college and live.

Thank you all for reading and enjoy yourself.
Until next time,
Jamie

Welcome

Welcome to my blog!

About Me:
My name is Jamie and I am currently seventeen. I have always loved to write and have recently been browsing a variety of blogs lately, yet out of the ones that I have viewed, I have noticed a lack of interaction with the blogs audience. That I why it is my goal to create a blog that people will follow and that I can interact with the readers. This blog is going to be a coming of age, following my journey through college, beginning a career and following the life before me. I hope that people that are close to my age will be able to relate with this, as well as educators and just people that love to read. I begin college in five short weeks, an experience that I would love to bring you along with. My career path is currently to pursue a dual degree is education and special education. My goal is to post at least one blog a week, hopefully more if time and content allows for it. For tonight I would love to keep this blog short and sweet, so feel free to comment below with any hopes, dreams, questions, etc.

Thank you and have a great week.
Until next time.
